University of Idaho
Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (1997)

Mapping out my route into the landscape and building industry, I began as a landscape laborer to develop on-site skills that became fundamental in the level of detail and functionality my designs were taken to in the future. With practical experience in the field, I then worked my way through a Landscape Architecture program at the University of Idaho and started White Cloud Design in 1995. The company launched as a design/build company to further enhance the designs from on-site knowledge, and after two years transitioned solely into a design firm. Since moving to the Whitefish in 1999, White Cloud Design has been involved in hundreds of projects throughout Montana, Idaho and Hawaii. White Cloud Design is now in its 27th year, with 35 years working in the industry.

Purdue University
B.S. Landscape Architecture (2015)

With a degree from Purdue University’s Landscape Architecture program, I began my career in Austin, Texas, gaining interdisciplinary experience in both residential and commercial design. My fascination with the natural environment was realized at an early age, being raised on the coast of Southern California. As a designer, I lean toward minimalism and the sensory connection to nature, prioritizing the choice of material, texture, and rhythm.

Christopher Norgaard | LANDSCAPE DESIGNER

University of California, Davis
B.S. Landscape Architecture (2013)

After obtaining my degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of California at Davis I began my professional career working in the Southern California region developing landscapes for custom residences, large home owner associations, and commercial properties. My primary interests are towards integration of the built environment within the natural environment; developing a plan that satisfies the projects programming requirements, while also emulating, and not disrupting, the natural systems occurring both on-site and adjacent to the site.
